to Heaven
This work of art is the first one of a trilogy by the Lithuanian artist Aneta Chabibulina influenced by the state of Italian current society: where the extreme role of appearance and wealth seems to have beaten the substance of the being. The themes of a modern, social and economic order based on the systematic creation and fostering of a desire to purchase goods and even bodies (both by a sexual and a workforce point of view) are tackled in this work of art. The abundance of the so called civilized society goes together with the opulence of a church strangled by food (spaghetti) and sexual scandals but always ready to judge. Its central position clashes with the impotence of this institution deviously mixed with politics and interests that are far from its original mission.
Quest’opera รจ la prima di una trilogia dell'artista Lithuanian Aneta Chabibulina influenced by the current state of Italian society where the role of appearing extreme and well-being seems to have prevailed on the substance of being. The themes of a modern social and economic order based on the systematic creation and encouragement to the desire of consumption (purchase) of goods and even bodies (from a gender perspective and "workforce") are addressed in this work. The abundance of so-called civil society must be parallel with the opulence of a church choked by food (spaghetti) and the sex scandals but always ready to judge.
Its central location, clashes with the impotence of this institution ambiguously mischiata con la politica e gli interessi che sono lontani dalla sua missione originale.
